Pastor Glad is from North Syracuse, New York. She met and married Ed in 1973, and through his encouragement and mentoring, became a minister in 1998. Glad was the director of "Sing Out St. Charles", sang in a folk group called "the Noisy Minority", and taught CPR for the American Red Cross in Massachusetts and Ohio. She was also a firefighter and EMT on the West Boxford Fire Department in Massachusetts. Glad was raised very similar to Ed, and together they make a dynamic couple. Now that they are both retired, it gives them time to perform weddings and baptisms all around the northern Michigan area.
Reverend Ed is from Mineral Point, Wisconsin, and has been a Congregational minister since he was 19 years old. His father and brother were also ministers.
